You will then be removed from the marketing lists — however, we may still communicate with you, for example to send you service-related messages that are necessary for the administration and use of your account, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.
11. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy
As part of our Services, Facility Automation Solutions may send SMS text messages to customers and contacts for service-related, operational, and support communications. This section describes how we handle information collected through our SMS messaging program.
Information collected through SMS
When you opt in to our SMS program, we collect your mobile phone number, opt-in and opt-out status, and the content of messages exchanged between you and our team.
How we use SMS information
We use information collected through our SMS program to send service appointment confirmations and reminders, building automation system alerts and notifications, project coordination and status updates, support ticket updates and follow-ups, and technician dispatch and field service communications. We do not use your phone number or SMS data for marketing or promotional purposes.
SMS information sharing
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your mobile phone number or personal information collected through the SMS program with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may share your information with our SMS platform provider and telecommunications carriers solely to deliver messages on our behalf.
Opting out of SMS
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message received from us. Upon opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent. For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us at the information in Section 16 below. 12. Controls for Do-Not-Track Features
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
13. Do California Residents Have Specific Privacy Rights?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine The Light” law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. If you are under 18 years of age, reside in California, and have a registered account with Services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Services.
